Ruben Chavez was born and raised in Center, CO. He is a veteran of the United States Navy, enlisting after graduating high school. Ruben served eight years in the Navy and was stationed at various bases, including San Diego, Pensacola and Denver. He was a Signals Analyst and operated several analytical platforms while onboard ships and at shore locations.

Once out of the military, Ruben began a career with the federal government. He has over 15 years working at the Pueblo Chemical Depot in several capacities, including as a Treaty Compliance Specialist working alongside international inspectors, whose role it is to oversee the destruction of chemical weapons. Ruben earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources.

Ruben was raised in an entrepreneurial family where he learned the value of hard work and honesty. His time in the military solidified his work ethic and has driven him in every aspect of his life.

Ruben is a sports fanatic who roots for the Broncos, Rockies and Nuggets. On his off time, he likes to ride his Harley alongside his fiancee Yulanda and enjoys spending time outdoors. They have five children, three grandchildren and a dog named Chapo.

Ruben is passionate about helping people achieve their dream of home ownership. He can also help current homeowners refinance to lower mortgage payments or use existing equity to finance other home improvement projects.
